The Ultimate Arizona Vacation

A road trip just does not get any better when it comes to a vacation.  The choices are can be more fruitful than a tour or a cruise.  Picking Arizona for a vacation and not including the Grand Canyon is out of the norm, so we have included the Grand Canyon Village.  The vacation planned is to fly into Las Vegas, rent a car and fly back home out of Phoenix.  Sounds expensive but, if you compare to some tours and cruises, the cost is not that outrageous and the vacation is tops.  The next item on the vacation, the night before leaving Las Vegas is a dinner cruise on a paddle boat on Lake Mead.  Details can be found at www.lakemeadcruises.com.  Day three

you are on your way to Page, Arizona, one of the towns along Lake Powell.  Suggested accommodations are at the Courtyard by Marriott Lake Powell.  The two focuses of interest when you wake is the Lake Powell National Golf Course and to tour Antelope Canyon.  Lake Powell National Golf Course offers 18 holes in an area of breath taking vistas of Lake Powell, Glen Canyon Dam and the Vermillion Cliffs. The golf course offers five sets of tees, full practice facilities with driving range and two putting greens.  More information is available at www.golflakepowell.com.   Antelope Canyon is a must see, even if you have to stretch your vacation an extra day due to spending an entire day at the golf course.  Antelope Canyon is a photographer’s paradise and offers a tour through sculptured rock that is an experience for all canyon lovers.  Tour information is available at www.antelopecanyon.com and your time will be well spent to take a look at the photos on their website right now.  Now you are hungry after a day of fun, so take a drive over to Bonker’s for a good quality dinner.  The vacation is not yet in Scottsdale where we will present some of the best restaurants in the country although, Bonkers looks wonderful.  Bonker’s appetizer menu is not too bad with items such as artichoke dip, Bruschetta and Calamari but, they kick it up a notch with the entrées.  A few to mention include a top sirloin that is so thick, they ask on the menu to allow time to grill, a Lamb Sirloin, a chicken breast topped with onions, mushrooms, artichoke hearts, Swiss and provolone cheeses.  They have good choices for seafood including seared Ahi Tuna topped with a Mango-lime puree and Wasabi sauce and an Idaho Trout topped with onions, spinach, garlic and tomatoes in a white wine butter sauce.  More restaurants are available, just ask Star Banquets and Travel to assist in planning your vacation.  This finishes not quite ½ of your 10 day vacation.  So far so good with Las Vegas, a dinner cruise on Lake Mead and two days at Lake Powell.
Now you will be on your way to the Grand Canyon via the Arizona wine country giving you the choice to stop at one or all four vineyards along the way.  The vineyard area is named Verde Valley Wine Trail, which goes through Verde Valley.  The wineries are Alcantara Vineyards, Page Springs Cellars, Oak Creek Vineyards and Javelina Leap Vineyards.  All have tasting rooms and you can buy some of their wine on site.  More information is available at
www.vvwinetrail.com.  Once arriving at Grand Canyon Village, we suggest checking in at the Canyon Plaza Resort, one of the three best rated hotels but, at the lowest cost to help cut the budget.  Another option is to drive a little further to Williams if you wish to take the Grand Canyon Railway to the South Rim, which will give you about 3 ½ hours to explore.  The scenery is better compared to driving but, you have less time to explore the Grand Canyon.  The Grand Canyon Village suggested accommodations is also about $100/ night less than the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel.  The Grand Canyon Village offers bicycle rental, has an Amphitheater, the Yawapai Geology Museum, a picnic area and bus tours are available as well.  A map of the Grand Canyon Village is available on the Arizona National Park page of our website, www.vacationsnationalpark.com.

The park is a great way for you to see the most beautiful tigers, lions, and giraffes in a totally natural environment - where they have access to to freely roam large areas of this spectacular wildlife preserve. As part of the admission, you can board a jeep-type vehicle and go on a 45-minute "Serengeti Safari" with expert park guides narrating the tour.

Planning your RV trip is not exactly something you do on a whim. It takes time and preparations to cover all of your bases. However, regardless of how many times you have been camping or RV camping, even the most experienced RV camper is susceptible to forget things.

The beach is not always the viable option to run to for fishing for many reasons including location, a non fishing area, high traffic, or simply permission of fishing. The good news is that California is covered with over 200 major lakes throughout the entire state that range in landscapes of mountains, deserts and beaches.

Tent camping is one of the most famous activities in Arizona especially in the Grand Canyon National Park. There are two major campgrounds in the park that offer safe places and the best amenities and services for campers and Arizona tent camping enthusiasts. These are the Mather and the Desert View campgrounds.

It's more than an Arizona mortgage. You want your kids to appreciate the better things in life and not be slaves to the gizmos that are enslaving six-year-olds. You've had enough of small children glued to their MP3s and PCs. You and your spouse want more interaction with the kids.

Camp Shane is a weight loss camp for kids, teens and young women. They know exactly what an over weight camper is going through and they pride themselves on not being a diet camp, a so-called fat camp or some form of boot camp. They want to help you succeed and have the best time of your life.

If you're compromised by the days spent hiking, perhaps the South Kaibab Trail will keep your feet inspired. This hiking trail in Arizona is a much smaller backpacking trip than the aforementioned Paria Canyon Trail. At just 14 miles, you'll be able to glide down this trail in two or (for a stretch) three days.

Another symbol of the American west that fewer people have visited is Monument Valley. Once you see those big rock formations, you realize that you've seen them before in tons of western movies and photos. Every one of those John Wayne movies was filmed there. Monument Valley is unique; there's no place like it on earth.

Wakeboarding one of the fastest growing water sports sense it's beginning. Evolving from just a few select areas where it began to a world wide sport within just a few years. Pro's have continued to come up with more difficult tricks as the year pass. Manufactures have pushed the limits on board and bindings with new designs allowing better manuverability.

Plan to spend enough time to take more than one trail from start to finish. Not only will you leave knowing more about the ancient Pueblo tribes, you'll also be treated to views of the Sandia Mountains and the Rio Grande Valley. There's no camping allowed inside the Monument, but Albuquerque has abundant RV parks waiting for your reservations.

The most popular tourist attraction in Arizona is the Grand Canyon. This is because the Grand Canyon National Park, which covers over one million acres, offering some of the most breathtaking sites and a number of outdoor activities like hiking. As a result, millions of people visit the Grand Canyon.

These trails are spread through out the state. People who are interested in the outdoors would find these Arizona Hiking Trails beneficial. There are different kinds of trails available and one can make his own choice starting from the Phoenix trails to the Sierra Vista trails. Every kind of these trails offer something exclusive but they all endow you with a glance of the best landscapes you would have ever seen.
